Large numbers of Non Resident Indians (NRIs) from Chhattisgarh, who are presently residing in different parts of the world, are canvassing on behalf of Bharatiya Janata Party in Chhattisgarh. At least 15 such NRIs have already arrived in Chhattisgarh and have initiated canvassing in various parts of State. One such eminent NRI, Chandrakant Patel, presently staying at USA, while addressing mediapersons stressed that this time the BJP will definitely win more seats than what it had won in 2013 Assembly elections.
Born and brought up in Koriya district, Patel is residing in US since last 30-35 years and actively participates in various social activities carried out by Indian diaspora in US. Addressing mediapersons, Patel said he makes it a point to visit Chhattisgarh during Assembly and Lok Sabha elections and actively participates in election campaigning here. He said after initial phase of campaigning, he feels that the BJP will win more seats than 2013 as the people have positive shift towards BJP
